Type of Stone: 6-14" Mountain Rust River Rock accented with 2-4" River Rock
Benefits: This stone was chosen for a drainage problem the property owner had where two water sources converged and created an erosion issue.
Type of Stone: 1/2 - 3/4” Mountain Rust River Rock bordered with Flagstone
Benefits: The river rock creates a more natural look to any driveway project than the industrial or commercial appearance of gravel, concrete or pavement while still having the benefits of being pervious and long-lasting. The river rock will also not crack, stain or discolor over time creating a beautiful and maintenance-free entrance to your property.
Type of Stone: 3/4 - 1 3/4" Virginia Brown Stone
Benefits: The reason the 3/4 - 1 3/4" stone is a good choice is because it provides excellent drainage and it is large enough that it will stay in place. It is also maintenance-free.
Type of Stone: 3/4 - 1 3/4” Virginia Brown River Rock
Benefits: The natural color of the stone used in this landscaping project will not fade over time and the stone will never have to be replaced providing a beautiful, vibrant and long-term landscaping accent.
Type of Stone: 6-14” Mountain Rust River Rock
Description: Here the 6-14” River Rock is hand stacked around a drainage pipe near property entrance to create a more pleasing view from the road.
Type of Stone: 3/4 - 1 3/4” Virginia Brown River Rock
Benefits: For this project, the 3/4 - 1 3/4" river rock is used in place of mulch to line the walkway and patio near the pool. Heavy rain and wind will not move the river rock onto the patio or into the pool. The stone creates an unwelcoming environment for bugs and insects while still allowing a nurturing habitat for plants, trees and flowers. Mulch, however, is a breading ground for bugs and insects near your home and patio.
